Why is there unemployment spreading the world?
By Sunchild1
Why do companies not employ more people? Why doesn't
the
government get everyone jobs?
Unemployment is good for big busine
ss,
and even
small business. Neither you nor they can deny it. The higher
the
rate of unemployment the more people there are looking for work, the
more people
there are looking for work then the more likely they are to put up with
poor
working conditions and poor pay, they more willing they are to put up
with poor
conditions and poor pay the easier it is for big businesses to grow as
they do
not need to worry as much about worker strikes and unions.
This exploitation of the workers,
because they are
to afraid to stand up for there rights, allows businesses to pocket the
money
they should really be paying out and use it to further there own
goals.
Secondly if this is true why not ar
e
companies
employing more and more people? The answer is simple. If you
were a
company like McDonalds why would you bother to employ more young people
(legal
slave labour) when you could simply buy a machine such as a
Fry-Basketing
Machine (it puts the chips in the baskets so they can then be
cooked). The
machine although it may cost more money cannot refuse to work, does not
call in
sick, is not late, does not need breaks, can work all day and all night,
and is
generally reliable. Finally once you have paid for the machine you
no
longer need to pay it (other than electricity etc).
This is a huge saving, and companie
s
such as car
manufacturers have done it to their assembly lines effectively cutting
their
number of employees by more than half. This means that this money
can be
used to further buy more machinery to replace more workers until
only the
barest bones are left in place. The companies are aiming for the
highest
output for the cheapest cost and not even governments can legislate that
a
certain number of employees mjust be employes, rather they must beg the
companies to do it and offer them tax incentives, money which is later
taken
from the pocket of the tax payers and workers.
Who is to blame then? Is it
really the
companies fault? Who made the system?
The answer is simple, the majority
of
us live in
democratic states, we elcect the government who allow the companies to
do this
to us, and yet do we complain? No we dont we have been fooled into
believing this sytem is good.
Capitalism replaced the previous sy
stem
of social
heirarchy, now rather than simply being forced into a position on the
social
ladder, we have been given the delusion of choice.
The beutiful trick of capitalism, t
here
is no
social heirarchy we can all take our rightful place on the social ladder
according to how much wealth we possess. However we have all been
fooled
as yes it is correct anyone can end up a Bill Gates, however how many of
us
do? Nearly all people are born into a socio-economic group and we
can
never escape it, you will never accumulate the wealth necessary to
escape
it. That has already been seen to, you can work all your life and
still
you will not create enough money to escape the cycle unless you are
extremely
lucky or born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Otherwise you
have to
work all your life never being paid what your work is worth because
under
capitalism your bosses are trying to climb the social ladder, however
they have
a benefit they own a business and have many more desperate people below
them
than above them.
So how can you climb the social
ladder?
Well the easy way is to win the
lottery, the hard
way is to remove the social ladder and heirarchy that goes with
it.
The greatest trick ever played upon
western man has
been to fool him into believing that communism is bad, that socialism is
bad
(Please note that here i do not refer to any of the fake socialist or
communist
governments that have existed or do exist in the world, rather i mean
communism
and socialism as people such as Marx, Engles, or Lenin envisaged
it). It
is true that communism and socialism are the enemies of
capitalism. Like
God is the enemy of the devil.
The wealthy have a reason to fear
communism and
socialism because it would rob them of their power and advantage, and
make them
no better and no worse than the rest of us.
Look at your history and the legend
s
that exist in
our societies, they show the truth it is foolsh to think that things
have
changed simply because we have been told they have. Legends tlak
of a time
when all were equal, equality between the races and between the
sexes.
some historians and much of society say they are simply myths but does
it matter
if they are, even if all they are is nothing more than stories does it
not mean
that we should not aim for such a society.
Jesus would almost certainly have b
een
a socialist
if he was here in our world today, did he not condemn the money changers
(ie
basically the banks) and tell everyone that they were to love one
another as
equals.
yet somehow the Vatican have manage
d to
lose this
message (Please note that the Vatican was established as a seperate
country in
World War Two by the Italian Fascists, who stood against all that the
Bible
proclaims)
I did not mean this rant about our
disgusting
polluted corrupt society to turn into a political statement or a
religious
statement. All I would like is for anyone who bothers to read this
to
think about our society and all that we take for granted. DO NOT
simply
dismiss this or even believe it rather question what you are told, what
you
think, look for the primary sources behind everythign and interpret it
for
yourself.

Response to the above
By Justin von Tunzelman
[I had intended this simply to be a response to the rant 'Why is there
unemployment?' In the event, it has evolved into a rant of its own.]
How surprising it is to find that there are so many laughable little commies
still around!
The lessons of the failed socialist experiments of the 20th century are
simple:
- People will work to better themselves; they will not work for the good
of society.
- Centralised production and distribution does not work.
- Without private property, everyone is worse off.
Socialism/communism is the philosophy of paternalism. The state (or
collective or whatever you want to call it) looks after individuals
according to their needs, while the individuals work for the greater good of
all. This may be appealing for the sad and childlike who cannot cope with
adulthood now they have lost the supervision of their parents, but for most
people it is a fatally flawed system. I have no interest in being told by
anyone what it is that I need, and am positively enraged by the idea of
working for the greater good of all - I couldn't give a rat's arse about
everyone else.
As evidence that my attitude is prevalent I offer the pathetic state of
affairs in Eastern Europe before the fall of the wall. I had the misfortune
to visit East Germany and Poland on a number of occasions, and found that,
as expected, society was in chaos.
Because there was no reward for labour and industry, no-one did any real
work. Workers were paid regardless of their effort or the quality of their
product, so they spent their days making a criminally low quantity of shoes
(or whatever) that were virtually un-wearable. Worse, because production
and distribution were controlled centrally, the shoes were ugly to the point
of inducing vomiting. Of course, when it came to giving back to the workers
the fruits of their labours, the lack of any market mechanism meant that
supply never even approximated demand. Ugly East German shoes could be had
by the gross, for example (though only in a size 10), but nowhere behind the
iron curtain could a pair of trousers be purchased. This is the inevitable
consequence of letting the government (or state, or collective, or hippie
commune) make decisions that should be left to individuals.
The worst of it, though, is that communism spells the death of fun. I could
recount the misery I saw in communist countries but I won't. Just read the
comments posted on this site by the commies - you'll see what I mean.
On the healthy side of the equation, there was a thriving black market in
every communist country I visited: capitalism can be temporarily suppressed,
but you can't kill it. It works too well.
I like my freedom; capitalism if the philosophy of freedom, therefore I am a
capitalist. I feel sorry for all you sad little pinkos.
Finally, I appluad the fact that the lunatics who have contributed to this
discussion to date at least have the courage to admit that their allegiance
lies with Marx (though it is often unclear whether they mean Karl or
Groucho): as a citizen of a country with a newly elected socialist
government I daily hear its decisions justified with the rhetoric of
'building a fairer society', or 'redistributing weath equitably'. Though it
hardly bears noting, like all communists and socialists their ultimate aim
is not to help anyone, but rather to legislate to the point where every
possible act is either compulsory or forbidden.
